sunshine

So I have been doing a really good job of getting up early and going to the gym before I head into work. This morning I got to the gym around 6:30 and it was still dark, all the cars were still iced over and the roads were slick. I did my typical work out and around 7:30 was getting ready in the locker room. Now just a little back ground on my gym, a lot of the members are what you would consider… older. To put it nicely I think the membership is going to die off soon. So anyway I get a real kick out of listening to the conversations in the locker room… for example, the other day I got caught in middle of an argument between two ladies on whether or not men lose their “mo-jo” after 20 years of marriage or 30… clearly I had no comment! Anyway this morning, I was getting ready in the locker room as all the ladies were getting ready for “swim class” they were all talking about how beautiful the sunshine was today and how it was really putting them in a good mood, now at first I thought they had just all lost their mind, as I continued to listen to them rave about the sunshine today, I began to think maybe “sunshine” was code word for something else… my mind wandered at that point, giggling a little to myself. Anyway, I finished getting ready and headed to my car, and believe it or not… the sun was shining!!! It was a beautiful sunny day all day long. Thank you to my locker room ladies for keeping me entertained and may the sun come out again tomorrow!!!! :)

new year

Well its a new year and with a new year comes new thoughts, new ideas, and new resolutions. It took me a little while to decide what my 2010 resolution would be, I debated some new fad diet, or working out more, you know, the usual. But this year my resolution is a little less superficial and a little more personal. My 2010 resolution is to continue to grow. No I don't mean taller, cause we all know that's not going to happen but what I mean is that I never become stale in who I am and the things that mean the most to me. May 2010 be a blessed year for me and everyone close to me.
